A vet or microchip implanter can enter the microchip information onto Dogs and Cats Online, the official record of microchipping details in SA.
Owners are responsible for ensuring their microchip information is entered into Dogs and Cats Online. There is no cost to enter or update the microchip information onto Dogs and Cats Online (however council registration fees may apply).
Contact your local vets to ascertain the cost of the procedure.
Chip Blitz offers $10 microchipping events at locations around South Australia. Please visit www.chipblitz.com for locations near you.
Not only is having your dog or cat microchipped abiding by the law, but you also become eligible for a registration rebate for ‘standard dog’, if your dog is desexed as well.
